Job Requirements
  • Background in chemistry or chemical sales
  • Past experience in China/Taiwan market or fluent in Chinese language (due to assignment
    to China/Taiwan market)
  • Experienced in specialty products sales (whether chemical or not) and strong
    entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Willing to travel frequently.
Job Responsibilities
  • Execute route to market sales strategies, implement plan and manage key accounts,localjewels & distributions channel with the support from marketing to propel business growth.
  • Optimize the total value chain cost to serve and maximise profit/return via pricing strategy with the marketing team to intensify business growth.
  • Collaborate with CS/production planning teams on effective integration of marketing strategies and plans optimizing plant utilization and opportunities.
  • Support marketing efforts through targeted road-shows/exhibitions, customer’s /external feedback on product development to further improve product performance and applications with the Innovation team.
  • Execute new product launches, communication pack via customer engagement with marketing/production/R&D.
  • Manage business performance via weekly sales meet/sales report by reviewing rolling customer forecasts to ensure operational goals and asset utilization targets are met.
  • Work with Marketing/S&D team on effective supply planning, customers’ allocations and robust inventory management with the respective turn around and unplanned shutdown to ensure continuity and supply reliability.
  • Feedback on effective customer management plan [commercial excellence program through customer relationship and profiling program via a customer relationship management, eg, allocate efficient resources to manage 20% of customers who provide 80% of the revenue and margin.
  • Initiate new business development and conduct regular exchanges with existing customers [technical/commercial] to discover opportunities, unearth challenges, hidden needs, explore market trend.
  • Conduct regular exchange/brainstorming sessions with Technical Team to discover new market, ideas, solution and product opportunities to intensify company business growth.
  • Lead and secure successful contract negotiation/awards [long/short term deals including payment terms leveraging on market understanding/sensing, scanning and intelligence to close sales deal/winning accounts effectively.
  • Formulate annual sales plan/forecast and strategies incorporating sales targets based on Company’s goals and objectives.
  • Establish and sustain effective networking and strategic alliances with relevant parties in the entire value chain e.g key buyers, technical team, assets owners to identify opportunities and/or threats in driving the business growth.
  • Sample management with logistics and R&D department
  • Channel customer’s data management to the relevant internal team/function, for example syndication with marketing and innovation team/function, Customer Service CS/Master Data and Operations team to ensure complete sets data available to smoothen out process for order realization/delivery.
  • Determine most prudent management of contractual obligations to create value, safeguard the company from commercial liabilities and support credit department on overdue payment collection
  • Any other tasks and activities assigned by the superior with regards to the position and job
